Paredra Privacy Policy

Version 2.0 · Effective date: 2026-07-30 · Last updated: 2026-07-30

This Privacy Policy explains what life2.ai L.L.C., a Wyoming limited liability company ("life2," "we"), collects when you use the Paredra service (the "Service"), how we use it, where it goes, and the choices you have. It is part of the Terms of Service.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: email, name, and the authentication identifiers (user IDs) our sign-in provider assigns to your account.
  • Connected content you authorize: calendar events and files from services you link (for example, Google Calendar and Google Drive), and email threads and notes where you connect those sources.
  • Meeting recordings and transcripts: when you turn on recording, audio is captured on your device and transcribed on your device, so live transcription happens locally; during a live session only transcript text leaves your device. The audio recording is also uploaded to our cloud, where our servers transcribe it a second time to improve accuracy. We store the recording and the transcripts in your account and process them to provide the Service. These recordings include the voices and words of other participants in your meetings (see Section 4). The Service does not create voiceprints and does not use voice data to recognize or identify individual speakers; transcription converts speech to text. Our Windows desktop app does not capture audio; it provides playback, sync, and notes only.
  • Photos, screenshots, and documents you capture or upload: images you add through the media capture feature (for example, screenshots and photos of documents) and files you add to your library.
  • Chat conversations you have with Paredra.
  • Health and activity data, if you connect a wearable account (Garmin, Oura): heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep stages, readiness, activity, and related body metrics.
  • Financial data, if you connect financial accounts through Plaid or upload financial documents: account and transaction information, statements, paystubs, and tax documents.
  • Operational logs: request identifiers, timing, and diagnostic events needed to run and secure the Service.

On Android, if you allow calendar access, the app reads your device calendar only to display it to you inside the app. That device-calendar data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. This is separate from connecting your Google Calendar account, which syncs calendar events to our cloud as described above.

We do not collect data from your device's microphone except when you start a recording or dictation. We do not collect your location. We do not collect advertising identifiers or device identifiers for advertising, and our apps contain no advertising or third-party analytics software.

2. How we use your data

  • To operate the Service for you: answer questions, ground search, generate meeting summaries and action items, and organize what you connect.
  • To secure, debug, and improve the reliability of the Service, using operational logs and, where possible, aggregated or de-identified data.
  • Never to train foundation models. Your content is not used by us or, under our agreements, by our AI providers to train models.

AI processing. To provide the Service, we transmit relevant portions of your content (meeting transcripts, documents, chat messages, and connected data) to third-party AI models (currently Anthropic Claude models hosted on Amazon Web Services' Bedrock platform) that perform inference on our behalf. These providers process your content solely to serve your requests and are bound by agreements restricting other use.

Legal bases (EEA and UK users). Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data as necessary to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)) when we operate the Service; for our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) when we secure, debug, and improve the Service; and on the basis of your consent where the law requires it, including when you choose to connect optional sources such as health or financial accounts. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.

3. Where your data lives

Your data is encrypted at rest, isolated per tenant, and stored in our cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1, Northern Virginia). We do not move your content between tenants and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

International transfers. We process and store data in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, including from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your personal data is transferred to and processed in the United States. For EEA and UK users, those transfers rest on Standard Contractual Clauses in place with our processors where applicable, and on the transfer being necessary to perform our contract with you and deliver the Service you request (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR and its UK equivalent). We do not currently participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Recordings of your meetings: other people's data

When you record a meeting, Paredra processes personal data of the other participants: their voices, what they said, and anything about them in the transcript, summaries, and answers derived from it.

  • You decide to record; you are responsible for the participants. You act as the person responsible (in GDPR terms, the "data controller," or your organization does) for participant data in your recordings. life2 processes it as your service provider ("data processor"), on your instructions, to provide the Service to you.
  • Consent to record is your obligation. Before recording, you must inform participants and obtain every consent the law of the relevant jurisdictions requires. The Service asks you to confirm this before your first recording. See the Terms of Service (Recording section) for the binding allocation of this responsibility.
  • What happens to participant data. It is stored in your tenant, used only to provide the Service to you, never used for advertising or model training, and deleted when you delete the recording or your account.
  • Participant requests. If a meeting participant contacts us about a recording, we will refer the request to you as the responsible party where lawful, and we will assist as your processor. Participants with privacy-rights requests may write to privacy@paredra.ai.

5. Sub-processors

We use the following providers to run the Service:

Provider Role
Amazon Web Services (US) Hosting, storage, databases, identity, transactional email, AI inference platform (Bedrock)
Anthropic (via AWS Bedrock) AI model inference on your content
Stripe Billing and payments
Plaid Financial-account connectivity (only if you connect it)
Google Sign-in and Calendar/Drive connectivity (only if you connect it); web fonts on our site
Garmin, Oura Health-data sync (only if you connect them)

We will update this list before adding sub-processors that process your content. Questions: privacy@paredra.ai.

6. Retention and deletion

  • While your account is active, we retain your content so the Service can use your history; that is the product. Ephemeral session data (live-transcription working data) is deleted automatically on a short cycle; operational metering logs expire automatically.
  • Deletion. You can delete your account using the account-deletion controls where offered in the apps (currently the iOS and Android apps), or by writing to privacy@paredra.ai. When you delete your account, or when we verify a deletion request you send us, we remove your content from our active systems within 30 days. Residual copies held in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days.
  • Retention period. We keep your content for as long as your account is active. Once your account is deleted, the timelines above apply. We keep limited records where the law requires it (for example, billing and tax records) for the legally required period.

Export. A self-service export tool is not yet available. To receive a copy of your data, write to privacy@paredra.ai.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing (GDPR/UK GDPR); or to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing (California CPRA: we do not sell or share your personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising); or similar rights under other laws (including Brazil's LGPD and Argentina's Ley 25.326). To exercise them, write to privacy@paredra.ai; we respond within the legally required timeframe. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Opt-out preference signals. Where the law requires it, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Because we do not sell or share personal data and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, these signals do not change how we handle your data today. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" browser settings, for which no legal standard exists.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children and requires users to be at least 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16; if we learn we have, we delete it.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; access is tenant-isolated and role-restricted. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and regulators of breaches as required by law.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post changes here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect. If a change materially affects how we handle recordings or sensitive data, we will ask you to re-acknowledge it.
